     Refinishing furniture is a fantastic way to live a sustainable life in design, eliminating furniture from landfills is a way to reuse a piece of furniture in a sustainable way. Sofa sagging and looking worn out, with a quality made sofa you can have it reupholstered, it will receive new cushions, padding, etc. you can have it reupholstered in a fabric that will bring that sofa back to life, which will sustain daily living in your home. Dining tables that are vintage are made of solid wood. You can strip that piece of the existing finish and stain it in a modern stain color or yes, paint it, same for the chairs, a reupholstered seat in a beautiful fabric and stain. That dining room set will last you another 50 years. If you want to refresh your bedroom dresser and night stands new stain or paint and hardware will make those pieces brand new. Sustainable living is what I live and do in my home.

My Journey with Sustainable Design

     Refinishing furniture has been my passion since I was a young girl, working with my mother as she redecorated our home growing up, from stripping cabinets, to refinishing furniture in our home. I repurposed furniture in my first home since I was a young woman. After working in corporate America for years and knowing it was not my passion in life or a career I wanted to continue. However, after life changes, I decided to pick up my paint brush and paint stripper and got to stripping furniture again. Refinishing commissioned pieces, furniture pieces for my home and furniture to sell, which was a fulfilling experience. I also discovered woodworking in my later years and have built a few pieces of furniture, which include a coffee table, dining table, console tables, end table and a TV stand (The last three all were created from the same plans).

     We offer furniture refinishing services to all our clients that have treasured pieces they would like to refresh and incorporate along with their design services.

     If you own a piece you would like to refinish, we will work with you. We remove old furniture stain from the piece, refresh your piece to your desired stain tone, we can prep and paint your piece if you do not desire wood tones and prefer a more elegant look, if you have furniture that has wear and tear, we will repair it back to its original state. Whatever your desire we will accommodate your request. All refinishing service fees are seperate.
